Shear Strength and Re-Failure Characteristics of Intact Red Sandstone and Grouting-Reinforced Body of Fractured Red Sandstone under Different Shear Angles

To reveal the strengthening mechanism and re-failure of grouting on fractured rock, variable-angle shear tests, real-time acoustic emission (AE) tests VIC-3D (non-contact full field strain measurement system) were carried out intact red sandstone (IRS) grouting-reinforced body (GRBFRS). The results show that peak strength IRS GRBFRS decreases with increase angle. Grouting reinforcement mainly increases cohesion to improve its strength, but reconstructability In whole process deformation, micro damage fracture are more than those IRS. Although before after stress stage is most notable, intensity or degree reduced. When angle 45°, both undergo shear-splitting failure. However, when large, only occurs Moreover, larger angle, likely produce secondary cracks. low rock–grout interface in main inducer re-failure.
